Lake Somerville covers more than 11,000 acres and sits within the boundaries of Lake Somerville State Park — one of the most scenic recreation areas in central Texas. The lake is known for year-round boating, with spring and fall offering ideal conditions for fishing and water sports.
Prime fishing months run from March through June and again in October and November, when largemouth bass, white crappie, and channel catfish are most active. The surrounding state park offers 85 miles of shoreline and trails, making it a destination for outdoors enthusiasts of every kind.
